Roundtable Staff Objectives

Roundtables are a form of commissioner service and supplemental training for volunteers at all levels. The objective of roundtables is to give leaders program ideas; information on policy, events, and training opportunities; and an opportunity to share experiences and enjoy fun and fellowship with other Scouting leaders. The roundtable commissioner and staff demonstrate elements of a model meeting that leaders may use as a pattern for their own meetings. The roundtable experience will inspire, motivate, and enable unit leaders to provide a stronger program for their Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Webelos and Boy Scouts.

Meeting Times:

Monthly from September to May

The First Thursday night of the month

7 PM - 8 PM

Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church, Danville VA

Roundtable Volunteers

Scout Leaders,

I am looking for a Troop to demonstrate or talk about what goes on during their Court of Honor advancement ceremony. We have a lot of Troops and it would be great if we could share ideas about this subject. If you are interested, please call me at 434.710.4408 as soon as possible.

I would also like for one Adult leader volunteer to cook their favorite scouting dish and bring it to March Roundtable to share with the group. This can be a Dutch Oven dish or any other dish you have have. You will only need to bring the food, some stryofoam cups and plastic forks or spoons to the meeting. We will 'pass the hat' to help you recoup some of your expenses if you so desire. If you are interested in this, call me at 434.710.4408 as soon as possible.
